Our program works with individuals, schools and communities to improve hygiene and sanitation. Unfortunately, girls and women are more vulnerable in this area. Poor hygiene practices and inadequate sanitation erodes them of their dignity. Center For Tomorrow is working with primary and secondary schools in poor communities to address menstrual hygiene management by training school staff, girls, boys and parents in making of reusable pads and also giving out free reusable sanitary pads. In some communities disposable sanitary pads are more ideal than in other communities.
The organization is also facilitating hygiene and sanitation trainings in schools to improve quality of life of children in school but also fight preventable diseases. We are also engaging the different stakeholders in the communities of these children to ensure that they play their part in providing the necessary infrastructures.
