Raniyah Nantongo’s story
Raniyah is a 7-year-old girl from Bweyogerere, a developing community located on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda. Many families in this area face economic challenges, with parents often struggling to find stable employment.
Raniyah lives with her mother and father, who are both currently unemployed. She has three brothers and two sisters, and together they live in modest conditions, relying on hope and the strength of family support.
A bright and curious learner, Raniyah’s favourite subject is Mathematics, and she enjoys playing tag with her friends. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day so she can help care for the sick and improve lives in her community.
Through sponsorship, Raniyah can continue her education, receive proper nutrition, and grow in a nurturing environment that helps her reach her dream of becoming a doctor — bringing light and hope to her family and the people of Bweyogerere.
